Level 2 Boot Camp Personalized Learning

Project Based Learning, Blended Learning, and Flipped Classroom Models are all excellent models of empowering our students as learners.  They require a lot of planning on the front end, but really allow the teacher to become more of a facilitator and a student to become an active learner, a creator, a 21st century citizen.  With all teaching and learning it is important to establish a strong culture.  With any of these models, students and teachers can epic succeed or epic fail.  Thoughtful and intentional planning, really knowing and sharing outcomes, expecting students to be fully engaged and active participants is a must.  These models will support students in becoming great, becoming 21st century citizens, impact them beyond just the traditional school day.  But if you're going to do it, I think you have to be fully committed, knowing you will make mistakes, but be willing to learn and fall forward.
